JQPT OWNER AND PHYSICAL THERAPIST
I often get asked how did I get into Physical Therapy?
It was instilled in me at a very young age that involvement in our community and the commitment to helping others was important. I have always known that this is what I would seek in my future career.
In college I was able to intern with a physiotherapist in England whose work and patient care were truly inspirational. I learned that a strong educational foundation, quality experience, knowledge on various evidence based techniques, were essential to exceptional patient outcomes, to exceptional improvement of their qualities of life.
After graduating from The University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with High Honors with a degree in Rehabilitation and Disabilities Studies, I then went on to receive my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 2006.
Since then I have worked as a physical therapist and clinic director of physical therapy clinics in Chicago, LA, and San Francisco.
Following a motor vehicle accident in 2010, where I was rear-ended, I experienced firsthand how physical therapy heals, and how important rehabilitation and quality care was key to returning to the activities I loved, such as dancing, hiking, yoga, Pilates, and running. In the same year, after my accident, I was able to complete my first Chicago Marathon without any injuries.
In 2015 I opened Jane Quach Physical Therapy (JQPT) to serve the patients of San Francisco and Marin County.
When I wasn’t seeing patients at JQPT, I was at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) as an Assistant Clinical Professor.
Years later, life’s journey brought me to beautiful Seattle where my partner and I now live with our two very energetic young sons.
To this day, education, patients, and the community are a priority. I love what I do, and improving the lives of others will always be a large part of my life and an important part of my career.
